Seeing how this is my first EVER mixtape, I wanted to make it as GREAT as I could. Yes it has taken me longer then I had anticipated, the more I hear it the more I’m like take this out put this here no wait re-do, hang on new mix LOL.

Then pressing the wrong mix the first time made me a bit nervous about what people are going to think about me but then....

Really…

Do I really care what they think?. Nope, I could careless :)

The one I am about to post is the one that I put a lot of love and effort into. Cammon!! Not as if someone is going to EVER compare me to a male DJ and if they do then shit son that’s an honor for the both of us!!! (YAAAAY!)

This mix is something that I came up with one random night when I went to edit another mix, I realized that I was moving to Toronto in a week away from all my friends and family. And I wanted to release something for everyone I know and love will enjoy even if it is the entire mix or parts of it. There is a song on this for everyone!

With that being said, with the help of a bunch of GREAT friends, family and advice from fellow DJ's I present... BRIGHT LIGHTS AND BIG CITIES.

'Dangerous' sells 2.6 Million.

Vancouver based production crew Vanguards Music have been putting in their work. From producing music for 4Real TV to working with EA Sports, Vanguards have established themselves as a force to be reckoned with. Last summer (2008) ‘Dangerous’ was the lead off single to Kardinal Offishall’s album, Not for Sale (2008, Konvict Muzik). The single ‘Dangerous’ went on to sell 2.6 million copies world wide. This is a major accomplishment for both Vanguards Music and Kardinal. This week the crew from Vanguards head down to Los Angles to accept their ASCAP Award for Pop Songwriter of the Year, 2008.

DJ Coco Fresh Presents: 'Bright Lights and Big Cities' the mixtape release party

DJ Coco Fresh's love for djing began when she first heard Flipout and Jay Swing on 'The World Wide Ride' on CFOX. Intrigued with their DJing skills, Coco Fresh wanted to figure out how to create these amazing mixes. She turned to her cd collection as if they were records and tried to scratch 'I scratched the hell out of my cds' states Coco Fresh 'and almost fell off my chair then my chair broke and I fell true story.'

Not even in her prime at the age of 21, DJ Coco Fresh's goal is to be the number one female DJ. Receiving pointers from DJs Kemo, Flipout, Starting From Scratch, Baby Yu, Hunt, Kap n' Kirk, Wristpect, Tanner and Khaled will guide her there.
